Photo Submission Policy
Photo Submission and Publication Guidelines:
We're looking for photos of the following:
(And no fair complaining that 90% of the photos are Roseville skaters or Twiggy's skaters...if you want other photos on the site, you need to send them in, too!)
- All photos must be in one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif, .bmp, or .png
- When emailing photos, please remember that many of our members have computers that cannot easily load huge photo files. Please do not send photos larger than 200kb.
- Legally, Cal Neva does not need permission to publish photos taken in a public place -- like a rink or competitive arena. However, if you see a photo of yourself on this site and wish for us to remove it, please send us an email and we will abide by your wishes.
- Cal Neva will not pay for photos submitted. We reserve the right to publish all submitted photos of skaters until that skater/parent/coach requests otherwise.
- Names will NOT be published with photos.
- Occasionally we would like to publish photos of specific people. In this case, you will be asked to fill out a simple photo release form by email. Please know that without this form, we will not publish your name with your photo, ever.
We're looking for photos of the following:
- Podium photos from Regionals and Nationals. Please include the event name and year, and identify which skater(s) are Cal Neva skaters!
- Action photos. Please do not send us Callum photos for which you have not paid! We cannot publish Callum photos from Nationals that you captured from their website!
- Photos of skaters from different Cal Neva rinks, together.
- Photos of coaches with skaters.
- Photos of Cal Neva skaters at Regionals and Nationals, doing non-skating things...
- Photos of current Cal Neva skaters and coaches when they were just beginning, skating supertot or primary events, etc. We know we said we don't pay for photos, but seriously, get your hands on a photo of Ron Galletta or Jim Pringle skating juvenile boys and we'll talk... :)
